I've been to the highest mountain, I've dived to the bottom of the deepest sea

Almost twilight, another day fading away
Angst-ridden to the bone, I am fighting hard to hold sway.

Lake is drying, birds seem to have found a new home

This year red roses hardly blooming, in the distance I see a terrible storm.

Nothingness surrounds me as I stand here with my feet covered in loam 

Like a fish out of water, in vain I am trying to find my way back home.

Making memories, this is what it's all about

Look at those faces , I know now, and there's no doubt

Maybe I am naive, maybe I am just blind

Maybe I am foolish, maybe I am the only one of my kind.

Yesterday, if only I could bring back my yesterday

There were no diamonds, not even silver & gold

Yesterday had nothing, but I still felt like a king on a roll

Had the sun,I had the blue and all the stars in different hues

Few days away from the chaos & the circus,  in the lap of the mighty

A welcome change, a much needed break,  think I just got lucky. 

So many people to thank, for showing all that I have been missing

There's so much more to life than these daily battles we keep waging.

Hectic it was, too much to do in too little time

But I am not complaining coz I had a whale of a time.

Each day had something new to offer, prayer, swim, hike, raft & whole lot of laughter

Unforgettable moments plenty, so many memories to treasure  here on after.

This busy life takes away lot more than we've got
This quest for more makes us a helpless lot.
In family & friends we pay a heavy price
