RAINBOW IN THE SKY!!!

Sky’s changing the color

Grey is turning into blue again

Sea ain’t tossing no more my princess

Serenity chooses to return again

Birds spreadin’ their wings

Ready to soar again

Seasons changing I think

Flowers blooming again

Listen to the radio

Playing our music again

Terrific buzz returns,

The party begins again.

Sky’s changing the color

Grey is turning into blue again

Sea ain’t tossing no more my princess

Serenity chooses to return again.

FINALLY !! SHE'S HERE.........PITA PATA !!!

She really plays hard to get. Doesn't she? It's been an agonising wait and at last she has decided to cast her spell. Guess what's the radio playing now...................RAINDROPS KEEP FALLIN' ON MY HEAD, from the classic movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", one of my all time favorite by B J Thomas . I strongly recommend this number to all my fellow music buffs. And to your added listening pleasure here are the lyrics............GO! GET WET!!

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me.

F1 HORRORVILLE REVISTED !!!

Once more it's a mean machine, another Brazilian driver and the blazing race track. Horror of San Marino race , May 1st 1994 came alive when Felipe Massa was severly injured with a fractured skull, during qualifying on Saturday, 25th July 2009 at Hungaroring near Budapest. Triple world Champion Ayrton Senna died on race day more than 15 years ago on May 1st 1994, after crashing into an unprotected concrete wall. The sad memories of that day is still fresh in the minds of die hard fans like yours truly.

After that black race, which involved series of accidents, safety has always been the top priority for F1 officials. Today the scenario is far better than what it used to be during and Pre Senna era.

But what happened on Saturday, really brought back the haunting memories of the infamous day when the sporting world lost a great champion.

Felipe ! here's wishing you a speedy recovery man. Get well soon !!

DEVIL'S PARTY !!!

Wonder what it takes

Is it really worth?

Some people do it well

put everything aside,

Take it all in their evil strides.

It’s a dog- eat- dog world

I have heard this before,

"Kill your soul and don’t look back"

That’s what you meant, now I am sure.

With blood stained hands

Looking less like a man more like a devil

There you stand.

No remorse, no apology

creating the great divide

has always been your only strategy .

Wonder what it takes

Is it really worth?

Some people do it well

put everything aside,

Take it all in their evil strides.

THE RISING !!!

Play me that song music man

Rip that record yet again

It’s been a heck of a ride

Think I am exhausted

Somewhere down that dusty road

Think I’ve lost some of my pride.

Send my soul sky high my man

Make this a night to remember

I have had too much to drink lately

my sorrows , my pains

Think I deserve better

This life can’t go in vain.

I wanna dance away these killer blues

Turn a new leaf, strum that chord yet again

Come on! Let that music play, music man

It’s been a heck of a ride

Think I am exhausted

Somewhere down that dusty road

Think I’ve lost some of my pride.

MADE IN HEAVEN !!

I see them move
standing close, real close
I see them groove
It's a sight to behold,
doesn't matter if they've got nothing
coz they still got each other to hold.

this world's too cold
to keep 'em in its fold
somewhere in the distance, they've got a place
they can call their home
where the blue sky meets the earth
they have got plenty
and they will never lose their hope.

I see them move
standing close, real close
I see them groove.

THAT'S HOW YOU CINK THOSE GOLF PUTTS !! .....KUDOS MR. STEWART

After a rock solid , fairytale performance right till the very end, veteran Tom Watson faltered at the final hurdle. Stewart Cink won his first Major at Turnberry last night, displaying some amazing golfing skills. In the four hole play-off , finally old nerves got the better of Tom's tenacity and he fell flat. Vying to become the oldest Major winner, he seemed completely out of sorts at the last gasp.

But there is no taking away from the great champ, he was in a different league right through the championship and he nearly turned back the clock......almost. It was that close.

I love this game.

DIFFERENT STROKES !!............HIT AND A MISS

Last week I came across two contrasting marketing promo ideas, well worthy of a postcard. Good times or bad times, its imperative for marketers to pool all their energies n creativity to keep the company register ringing all the time.

MJ in death has pushed the record sales beyond our imagination. Fans just don't seem to get enough of his music. His albums are topping charts all across the globe. Sony Music is working overtime to make the MJ catalogue accessible to his ardent fans in India post his untimely death. In fact it has given a shot in the arm to the sagging fortune of this Music Label.

What really made me sit up and admire the brilliance, was a simple idea put across by the music company to sell a compilation of all MJ's No.1 songs at Traffic Intersection , for a mere Rs 99 . Given MJ's popularity and the all round buzz post his death, I think it's killer of an idea which needs to be applauded. Guy's at Rolling Stone ! hope you are listening.

In store promos is a great way to attract the prospects, but one has to be little careful in choosing the place. A personal hygiene product company has tied up with Cafe Coffee Day to Sample it's new range of sanitary napkins - K. Nothing wrong with that I suppose. But where the idea has got messed up , is the choice of display area. The placement of the towering stands, which look more like replica of Eiffel Tower is placed right between the hot seat and the Male pee pot. Given the size of the rest rooms, it can be rather discomforting if someone is in a real rush. Imagine pushing the stand and making a place.....ummm, now that's quite a drill. Isn't it?? I think these guy's have got it all wrong.

Thank God not every marketer has an eye on the rest rooms............... just yet .

IT'S RAINING EAGLES N BIRDIES !!!..........AND AGE AIN'T A BAR

Yes! it's all happening at Turnberry, Scotland in the British Open Golf Championship 2009. World No. 1, bookies favorite Tiger Woods couldn't make the cut. And I am sure that's a dampener for lot of fans of this fabulous sport around the world. Tom Watson at 59 yrs leading the pack, being closely pursued by an unheralded Tasmanian called Mathew Goggin and English hope Ross Fisher.

Sunday chase for the Claret Jug has all the making of an enthralling finale. I have been following the proceedings at the breathtaking course starting second half of the week and I can't wait to see the battle royal between Veterans Watson, Lee Westwood, Retief Goosen and budding stars Goggin and Fisher.

There is no other sport which can better demonstrate the importance of power and finesse than Golf, and come Sunday, we will see plenty of both. Don't miss it. GO FOR IT TOM ! No one deserves it more than you.

Good Luck !!

DAGGERS AND FLOWERS !!

Whatever goes around comes around
That's what life is and there is no way around

doesn't matter who is king and who is clown
there's no escaping, and some day we are bound to drown
we only get to reap what we sow
some learn it soon, some never make it to the show

Yes it's true, daggers and flowers
are the only two options to choose
remember die one day, we all will
nobody can change the Almighty's will
think before you stretch that hand my friend
coz one cuts deep and makes us bleed
the other has got the power to heal
it's the only way for peace to breed.

PS: YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..................THE WORLD NEEDS FLOWERS
